About our Media Center
http://www.weebly.com/weebly/main.php
Our Media Center collection houses 10,000 books! Our Media Specialist Mrs.Jones, and our Media Assistant Mrs. Frazier,work diligently to ensure the library collection is maintained to the highest educational level possible and is aligned with the new NC Common Core State Standards.
Our Mission is to enable students and staff to be effective users of ideas and information by providing access to materials that support and enhance the school’s curriculum.

About Accelerated Reader
One of the resources we use at GAB is Renaissance Place! The Accelerated Reader program is a part of Renaissance Place. We have access to thousands of AR quizzes through this program. That means that most of the books in our Media Center are AR books!
You can find out whether any book is an AR book and what level it is by going to this website:
Just type in the name of the book. This is a very helpful site.
The book levels in our library are color coded with dots.
Blue Dot = 0-1.9 reading level
Yellow Dot = 2.0-2.9 reading level.
Red /Orange Dot = 3.0-3.9 reading level
Green Dot = 4.0-4.9 reading level
Light Orange = 5.0-5.9
Purple = 6.0 and up
Please encourage your child to read in his or her reading zone.
