I am proud to say I am a product of Craven County Schools. The education I received has been the foundation that supported me during a thirty-five year aviation career, retired Air Force and airline pilot. But my heart has always been loyal to education and giving back to the community that gave so much to me. I am from a family of educators...my wife, daughter, and four sisters...all Craven County educators. In 2004 I joined them as a counselor at Tucker Creek Middle School and served seven years as a school counselor and Military Liaison Counselor. I joined the Board in 2012 and truly believe and support our vision, "Today's Learners...Tomorrow's Leaders". Education is more than the academic foundation; it is the total commitment to prepare our students to be productive and successful in the 21st Century.
